Debbie Valek was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois, but that doesn’t dim any of her light as a now Texan. Debbie is a Navarro College alumni, mother, grandmother, and wife. Her fiends would describer her as committed, available, and a good listener, which are all amazing traits that also make her a great nurse. After graduating high school in Georgia, she graduated from Navarro College with her AND. She completed her BSN at UT-Tyler and her MSN at Western Governor’s University. Currently, she is the RN-MSN Director of Vocational Nursing and nursing professor, where she has taught courses for over 20 years.

Debbie is most proud her three kids and all of her education. In addition to doting grandmother, Debbie is also the praise and worship leader at her church. She considers Navarro College a “true love” of hers and her dad a “mentor and influence.” Debbie’s also consists of furry family members, two poodles Tucker and Tanner, whom she loves to snuggle with.
