Corey & Jourdan Harrelson

Jourdan and Corey Harrelson are excited to take on the challenge of Navarro College’s Dancing for Our Stars (DFOS), each stepping onto the dance floor for meaningful and deeply personal reasons. For Jourdan, saying yes felt like a full‑circle moment. Mrs. Mitchell gave her first real job at Bealls in the late 1990s, and being invited to participate brought back memories that made the opportunity both sentimental and special. While she danced in her younger years, it has been a long time, but she is ready to return to the floor for a cause she believes in. Corey, new to dancing altogether, was motivated by a shared desire to support students and give back to the community that shaped their lives.
Both Jourdan and Corey have strong ties to Corsicana. Jourdan was born and raised here before spending nearly 20 years away, eventually returning in 2021 after meeting Corey. She attended Corsicana High School, Navarro College, and UT Tyler with the support of the Collins Scholarship, and now teaches at Corsicana Middle School while mentoring students through the DEFY program. Corey moved to Corsicana in elementary school and has remained ever since, spending 25 years with ONCOR and recently considering returning to Navarro College to complete his degree.
Together, they have built a lively household in Roane with five children and one granddaughter. They enjoy caring for animals, restoring their 100‑year‑old home, and staying active in the community. Friends describe Jourdan as fun and genuine, and Corey as steady, fair, and a man of few but meaningful words.
When they take the stage at DFOS, one thing is certain: they will give it their all and enjoy every moment doing it.
