Seth & Danica Watson

Danica and Seth Watson are proud to be featured dancers in this year’s Dancing for Our Stars (DFOS), stepping outside their comfort zones to support an event and community they truly love. Though neither brings extensive dance experience, both were inspired to participate for meaningful reasons. Danica credits Steve and Terri Mitchell for encouraging her to join, while Seth saw the opportunity as a personal challenge and a chance to spend intentional time with his wife while showing their children the value of trying new things.
Both Danica and Seth were born and raised in East Texas before eventually making Corsicana their home. Danica grew up in Tyler and later attended All Saints in Tyler, then East Texas Baptist University, where she played collegiate soccer for four years. She went on to earn her Physical Therapy degree from UT Southwestern. Seth grew up in Tyler and Teague, played college football briefly at Howard Payne University, and earned his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M before completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at UT Southwestern and a PhD from Texas Woman’s University.
Together, they are active members of First Baptist Corsicana, where they help lead their Sunday school class. They are raising three wonderful children Brooks, Will, and Ella Kate, and are currently pursuing adoption to grow their family further. Both are deeply involved in their community through church, youth sports, and local organizations, with Danica serving as Secretary of the Parent Advisory Council for Navarro County’s Early Childhood Coalition and Seth serving as a deacon and leader at their church.
Intentional, driven, and faith‑rooted, the Watsons approach DFOS with enthusiasm, gratitude, and a shared desire to make an impact both on and off the dance floor.
